Top points for the title, but is it always the husband? When the murder victim is as irritating and self absorbed as Kate, it could be practically anyone. Her best friends from college, Aubrey and Jenny, each have powerful motives for murder, as do their respective husbands. The characters are mildly two dimensional and the writer invests a significant amount of time in Chief of Police Owen Rizzo before summarily dismissing him, leaving us a little puzzled and confused, but these are minor qualms. It’s a fine thriller really and you should pause and lay a bet as to whodunnit before the final chapter. Is it always the husband? Read on.
